Studio Project with A Productions and Terrific Television!

You’ll spend part of the Skills Bootcamp working on a simulated studio project, using assets and episode structures provided by A Productions. These are real assets that have been created for a new animated TV series for Terrific Television.

This project will give you a behind-the-scenes understanding of how a professional animation studio operates, from workflow and turnarounds, to the level of quality expected in production.

The studio project will run for approximately four weeks of the Skills Bootcamp and use the NextGen RISE platform to simulate a remote studio environment. The rest of the course focuses on preparation, developing personal work, and polishing portfolio pieces to showcase your skills.

What you'll learn

This bootcamp is designed to prepare you for real studio work, with a strong focus on animation fundamentals, professional pipelines, and employability skills.

Core Focus Areas:

  • 3D animation – pose, weight, timing, acting, and facial performance
  • Shot planning – working to a brief and timing sheet
  • Animation workflow – blocking, splining, and polish
  • Feedback cycles – how to take and apply studio notes
  • Teamwork and pipelines – working in a simulated studio environment
  • Showreel development – shots that demonstrate your strengths

You’ll complete a final animation project, develop portfolio-ready assets, and gain clarity on the types of roles that suit your skills and interests within the animation industry.
